The Minnan Culture Intangible Cultural Heritage Week and Maritime Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Performance are taking place from Dec 10 to 14 in Quanzhou, Fujian province.

The event features 50 cultural booths showcasing heritage specialties from Quanzhou, Xiamen, and Zhangzhou. It brings together local Quanzhou delicacies, including Anxi Longju Thin Noodles, Zhongji Braised Duck with Ginger, and Xiaoyuan Tusun Dong (Sea Worm Jelly). What's more, characteristic projects from Xiamen and Zhangzhou, including Tong'an Pearl-glazed Celadon and Zhangpu Paper-cutting, are also displayed at the event.

The event sets immersive Minnan dialect experience zones, offering activities such as heritage education sessions, Minnan dialect dictionary explorations, and interactive games.

It also organizes exquisite ICH crafts exhibitions, with Anxi's Rattan and Iron Artworks as its first theme. Dozens of pieces, including peacocks, flowers and birds, have been displayed in glass cases, highlighting the integrating of traditional techniques with modern innovation.

Furthermore, a series of folk shows bursting with ethnic charm, including Zhangzhou's drum and umbrella dance, Xiamen's folk dance, and Quanzhou's lion dance, will take the stage in turn.

In addition, the Chinese Ethnographic Documentary Academic Exhibition held during the event is also highly anticipated. It brings together 70 outstanding documentaries and features several core sections to highlight Quanzhou's rich traditions and cultural exchanges along the Maritime Silk Road.
