The "Millennium Carving Art · Maritime Silk Road Connection" carving art exhibition is scheduled to commence at the Carving Center in Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone on Dec 12. The exhibition is part of the series activities related to the fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival and will continue until Dec 31.

The exhibition, with a focus on carvings related to the Maritime Silk Road, includes nearly 1,000 distinctive and diverse carvings created by artists broth from the Chinese mainland and in Taiwan, encompassing wood carving, lacquer line carving, stone carving, jade carving, and more.

In the "Carving History Exhibition Area" located on the first floor, visitors have the opportunity to appreciate representative works spanning different generations of carving artists while exploring the glorious millennium-long history and culture of carving.

On the second floor, 30 carvings crafted by carving artists from Taiwan are displayed. These artworks not only preserve traditional carving techniques but integrate innovative ideas, making them appealing to the younger generation.

An "intangible cultural heritage experience area" will be set up on the exhibition hall's first floor. Skilled carving artists from Quanzhou and Taiwan will be present to showcase intangible cultural heritage techniques and interact with visitors. The third-floor exhibition area will showcase over 300 exquisite carvings crafted by renowned artists from Quanzhou.
