Quanzhou University of Information Engineering is a full-time applied undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education.

Its campus is in the downtown area of Quanzhou, a city among the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, which is also a Culture City of East Asia and lies at the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.

It is close to the China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship, Quanzhou Museum and Quanzhou West Lake Park. The university has created a garden-style campus, where ancient trees can be seen everywhere, with a green coverage rate of more than 70 percent.

Currently, the university offers 31 undergraduate programs. It has eight main teaching schools and four industrial schools that cover such areas as information communications technology, intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence and cross-border e-commerce.

A few years ago, the university was awarded with the title of being a national advanced unit of vocational education and was also recognized among the first national batch of excellent pilot units for education informationization.

It has won two second prizes for national teaching achievements, two special prizes, as well as one first prize and three second prizes for Fujian teaching achievements. It has received recognition for its achievements in teaching quality and teaching reform projects above the provincial level, and has been recognized for its special disciplines, teaching teams, as well as science and technology innovation teams.

The university built the Fujian applications center and the Fujian applied technology research institute at the national additive manufacturing innovation center. It also established an innovation and entrepreneurship (incubation) base for college students, whose facilities cover more than 10,000 square meters.

In addition, it has set up production, education and research cooperation bases with 198 well-known domestic and foreign companies including Bosch Rexroth, Festo Group, Siemens and ZTE Corporation.

At present, the university has established cooperation and exchange relations with more than 30 colleges and universities countries and regions around the world, with the purpose of introducing and sharing high-quality international education and teaching resources in multiple aspects, levels, forms and fields.
