The fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival will take place in Quanzhou, a coastal city in China's Fujian province, from Dec 8 to 13.

The event takes place every two years.

This festival is part of efforts to accelerate the development of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road pilot zone.

Themed "Appreciate the Beauty of Diverse Civilizations", the six-day event features five major theme sections and 15 sub-projects, aiming to strengthen exchange and mutual learning among civilizations to achieve win-win development.

At present, 41 cultural groups and artists from 34 countries and regions have been invited to this festival.
