Slew of projects come to Quanzhou development zone

The Quanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in East China's Fujian province held a signing, commencement and completion ceremony on Oct 27 for a slew of major projects in the fourth quarter, with eight projects signing up and six projects starting or completing construction.

The eight newly signed projects cover various fields related to scientific research platforms, e-commerce, new energy and new digital displays.

With a total investment of 200 million yuan ($29.83 million), the Tengqu Food Digital Industry Headquarters Platform project involves various areas.

There are plans to establish a food digital industry headquarters platform, a snack food research institute, a food big data center, a food livestreaming center and a cloud storage logistics digital center, to create a comprehensive food e-commerce area.

The Quanzhou New Display Digital Economy Industrial Park opened to the public on the day, involving a total investment of 4 billion yuan. It will be a new display digital economy industrial cluster with an output value of 100 billion in five to 10 years.

In addition, the Quanzhou Tesla Center and the Yifeng Automobile Supporting Production project completed construction, while Deheng Shoes Intelligent Manufacturing Production project went into operation.

Li Wensheng, secretary of the Party working committee of Quanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, said the zone had prioritized attracting investment and projects that would contribute to its upgrading and innovative development.

Hopefully, more investors and entrepreneurs would come to invest and start businesses in the zone, Li added.
