The new Jinjiang No 2 Sports Center in Jinjiang, a county-level city in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province, is set to open its training hall and outdoor basketball court on Oct 1.

The center will serve as the main venue of the Gymnasiade -- the 18th World School Summer Games -- which the International School Sport Federation last month announced was postponed to October in 2021 due to the global spread of COVID-19.

While the outdoor basketball court covers 43,000 sq m and comes equipped with various types of facilities, which can hold basketball activities such as full-court games, half-court games, streetball games, shooting practices and basketball training.
