The 21st China (Nan'an) Shuitou International Stone Fair and Stone Design Week is scheduled to be held on Dec 12-15 in Nan'an, a county-level city in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province, according to the event's organizing committee on Sept 12.

Due to novel coronavirus epidemic, the fair will take place both online and offline.

An online stone expo will be launched -- integrating an exhibition, matchmaking and industry exchanges -- establishing a new way of viewing the stone industry.

The Global Stone Material Museum will also become a bridge between enterprises and designers, to show international designers the solutions to common problems involving international fine stones, craftsmanship and applications, as well as other stone materials.

At present, there are more than 1,300 stone companies in Nan'an, with products exported to over 130 countries and regions across the world. It is the world's largest center for stone production and trading.

From January to June this year, the output value of stone companies above a designated size -- those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more ($2.89 million) -- hit 31.94 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.8 percent.
