Leisure space abounds at Quanzhou's new ecological green corridor

Development of the Keshi flood discharge canal ecological green corridor project recently wrapped up in Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province. With the project's completion, Quanzhou citizens can now enjoy yet another superb space for leisure and entertainment.

The green corridor starts at the south square of Quanzhou Normal University and ends at the mouth of the Jinjiang River.

With a total length of 3.2 kilometers, the development includes three water parks – one in the Quanzhou Normal University section and two in the Kuiyu Park section.

A dragon boat dock, a barrage and a slow water lane were newly built on Boya Lake, which is located in the Quanzhou Normal School section of the green corridor. Developers also constructed flood and sewage channels to help effectively solve drainage and waste issues in the surrounding area.

While the Kuiyu Park section includes a 6.2-hectare wetland park and is divided into two plots that are connected via an overpass.
