Quanzhou Ancient City Cultural and Ecological Tourism Resort was recently officially rated as a provincial tourist resort, which will enhance its status and appeal to visitors, both at home and abroad, according to a statement made by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

The resort is located in Licheng district in Quanzhou city in East China's Fujian province, with 6.41 square kilometers of Quanzhou Ancient City at its core.

With a total area of 8.37 sq km, it also includes the green areas of Sunjiang Park and Jieguan Pavilion.

As a cultural tourism magnet and tourism distribution center, Quanzhou Ancient City will become the city's cultural tourism development engine in the future.

Its level and number of heritage sites, as well as intangible culture, gives it an edge in the tourism market and it also has strong appeal to international tourists as well.

In the future, the city plans to give full play to utilizing the skills and management of the Quanzhou Ancient City Cultural and Ecological Tourism Resort.

It will focus on the integration of tourism products and holiday content and create a range of tourism brands related to resort hotels, leisure products and cultural activities.

It will also strengthen the quality of its services, as well as accelerate the construction of comprehensive service centers, parking lots and smart tourism, to improve the satisfaction of tourists.
