The Tsinghua University Rural Revitalization Long-Distance Teaching Station was recently unveiled in Luojiang district, Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, becoming the first of its kind in the city.

For the first distance teaching course, You Xiaochuan, associate professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Tsinghua University, was invited to give a themed lecture, via remote video, on the principle and application of artificial intelligence algorithms.

With the aim of revitalizing local industry, talent, culture, ecology, and organizations, the teaching station will focus on key issues in the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

It will help high-quality rural development, transform rural governance, and provide theoretical and intellectual support for rural revitalization and development.

In the future, the teaching station will organize various targeted training sessions, explore innovative teaching and training methods and improve the effectiveness of training, striving to build a quality learning platform for talent training.

In recent years, Luojiang district has actively cooperated with Tsinghua University on school-government-enterprise development. The district will also introduce skilled workers into those sectors and industries which have been in urgent need of the teaching station.
