Picturesque images and slogans like "Colorful Jinjiang welcomes the 2020 Gymnasiade" have recently begun to take shape in the paddy fields of Jinjiang, a county-level city in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province.

The paddy fields cover an area of 1,372 mu (91.47 hectares), and are located amid the idyllic scenery of the Jiushijiu River Basin in Jinjiang.

The planting team used rice of four colors to create the messages. "This place will look more beautiful day by day," said the planting team leader.

The best season for viewing the area begins this month. In mid-to-late June, the "face value" of the paddy fields will reach peak, which will last until early July.

It is required that, under standard COVID-19 prevention and control conditions, citizens and tourists must pay attention to their personal protection when visiting.

Also, there are security guards patrolling the site 24 hours a day, so citizens should be able to enjoy the site and take pictures in an orderly manner without damaging the rice paddies.
