The Overseas Chinese Space of Huachuang Park in Fengze district, Quanzhou, a city in East China’s Fujian province, was recently selected as the 2020 national maker space, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The designation means that, whilst relying on Huachuang Park’s advantages, the Overseas Chinese Space fully utilizes Huaqiao University's science, education, innovation and entrepreneurship resources to attract different types of entrepreneurial groups and create innovative platforms with different themes.

It is equipped with shared spaces such as book bars, leisure areas, meeting rooms, reception rooms, and roadshow halls, as well as shared facilities such as desks, chairs, sofas, printing services, multimedia equipment and wireless networks, providing entrepreneurs with a low-cost, comprehensive and open maker space.

In addition, it has set up a base for skilled workers and young college entrepreneurs, a labor dispute mediation room, and a talent service consulting center, to offer favorable services for entrepreneurs.
