Updated: Feb 4, 2020 L M S

Quanzhou Administrative Service Center launched an online booking service from Feb 3, according to local officials from the port city in southeastern Fujian Province.

Citizens must make online reservations at least one day in advance and cannot only enter service halls without appointment slips.

Temperature detection machines have been installed in all service halls. Visitors with a fever, cough or any other discomforts will not be allowed to enter.

Officials of the Municipal Administrative Service Center suggested locals not to go to the halls during the coronavirus outbreak. They recommended online declaration and postal deliveries while conducting business, instead of running errands outside their own homes.

Online platforms such as the Fujian Province Online Office Hall, the Fujian Government Application, Quanzhou Government Service Application and WeChat account of Quanzhou Administration Service Center are now all available.

At present, there are 544 city-level services being offered on online platforms. Applicants can apply for online declarations, in accordance with the official requirements and have the material delivered to their doorsteps.

In addition, residents can choose to go to the fifteen 24-hour self-service spots currently in use in the downtown area.

According to an announcement by the municipal administrative services center, 16 enterprises, organizations and government departments of critical importance in keeping the city running will resume operation at 9 am on Feb 10.

Relevant services will not be operating in the administrative hall on Feb 3-7.
