Liming Vocational University, whose predecessor was a high school established in 1929, has been selected as one of the top 50 vocational colleges in China in terms of service contribution, internship management, student management and educational achievement.

In 2016, 2017 and 2018, it ranked first for comprehensive development potential among Fujian provincial higher vocational colleges.

The university's 12 colleges offer 43 majors, including civil engineering, intelligent manufacturing engineering, culture, tourism, information and electronic engineering, materials, textile, shoes and clothing engineering and chemical engineering. There are 14,000 students at the university.

The university has been vigorously promoting craftsmanship, professional elites and talent cultivation, graduate employment rates, the proportion of graduates with advanced certificates and other key indicators rank first among the province's vocational and technical colleges. The university has delivered many qualified professional and technical personnel, with more than 60,000 graduates so far.
