Quanzhou launches online smart equipment, manufacturing expo

The first online smart equipment and manufacturing exhibition in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province, recently kicked off and will last one year, attracting the participation of nearly 120 machinery enterprises.

At the launch ceremony, a number of leading machinery and equipment companies in the city released procurement and outsourcing processing requirements in the second half of 2020 and 2021, worth a total of 800 million yuan ($119.52 million).

The online exhibition aims to help Quanzhou's machinery equipment enterprises to open up their markets.

It also aims to increase industry cooperation and support, develop and train staff and contribute to the high-quality development of Quanzhou's machinery equipment industry.

Through pictures, text, videos and the medium of virtual reality, it can facilitate online real-time consultations and provide information and support for tracking markets via big data technology.

In recent years, Quanzhou has vigorously developed its machinery and equipment sector, rolling out new technology and improving quality levels. Last year, the output value of the industry reached 213.3 billion yuan.

The machinery and equipment industry has become a pillar industry in the city and Quanzhou has also become an important industrial base for the sector in the province.
