In Dehua county, Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, there are hundreds of peaks with altitudes of over 1,000 meters. Terraced fields in the county are distributed between 300 meters and 1,500 meters above sea level.

The maximum slope of terraced fields is more than 50 degrees, and the terraced fields dramatically climb from the foot of the mountains to the spectacular summits.

For thousands of years, the Dehua people have built their homes by adapting to their local conditions.

In recent years, Dehua county has taken the improvement of human settlements as an important measure of poverty alleviation.

It has carried out reclamation and green restoration to ensure that the rural environment is clean, hygienic, and tidy.
