Quanzhou Textile Garment Vocational Institute, founded in 2001, has been issued with an independent higher education diploma by the Ministry of Education. The institute has also been dubbed the only "textile" higher vocational college in Fujian province.

The institute is located in Shishi, Quanzhou, and has a building area of more than 100,000 square meters. It has more than 180 teachers, including more than 120 full-time teachers, and more than 3,000 full-time students.

To fulfill market demands, the institute has a department of clothing design, textile dyeing and finishing as well as the basic departments of light textiles, culture and art, finance and business, and 29 majors in nine other categories. Since its establishment, the institute has cultivated more than 20,000 graduates with an employment rate of over 98 percent.
